Comments, focus and shortcuts

Select the relevant manuscript text and use the comment action, then manage comments from the right rail. A comment is distinct from a chapter Note. Undo/Redo apply to editor changes; check the chapter after a change before leaving. Do not use comments as your only backup of important research.

Use Cmd+T/Cmd+K for workspace search where shown, Escape to dismiss dialogs, and Cmd+Shift+F or Ctrl+Shift+F for focus mode. The editor toolbar exposes formatting shortcuts, and Help lists supported shortcuts. Writing preferences such as wide editor, rails, font and appearance live in Settings; narrow windows may still constrain the writing surface.
