Notes and research beside your writing

Use Notes for ideas and supporting writing, and select the correct book/project scope. Chapter Notes stay in the writing right rail; broader Notes also have their normal editor. Open the Notes panel beside a chapter to keep reminders visible without inserting them into the manuscript.

Research stores supporting material and sources. Add useful titles and references so you can find them through available search/filter controls. A note or source link does not verify factual accuracy or grant permission to reproduce copyrighted material. Preserve your original sources and include only the context you intend in AI requests.
